Construction Specifications Institute
INTENT OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
To provide annual Scholarships to assist with tuition, fees and books to students who have demonstrated outstanding scholastic achievement and a desire to pursue an education in construction, engineering, or architecture.
Any graduating High School senior, current College, University or Technical School student who is, or will be registered as a full or part-time student at an institution of higher learning in the Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, or York Counties. The course of study shall be a degree program in architecture, engineering, interior design, facility management, or construction management.
DETERMINATION OF AWARD
The recipient(s) shall be students with a high grade point average who demonstrate the qualities required. Areas of consideration shall include, but not be limited to, scholastic achievement, extra curricular and community activities, leadership and communication skills, and personal presentation.
Each applicant will submit a completed application, transcript, Three (3) letters of reference and a brief personal letter of introduction which shall include achievements and reasons for selecting their career path. Candidates will be selected and notified by the Central PA Chapter (CPC) Scholarship Committee.
Winners will be selected and notified by the CPC Scholarship Committee. Applications shall be received until April 15th. The Scholarship Committee will make their selection on or before May 1st. The recipients shall receive the award at the Annual Awards Meeting of the Chapter (May or June). Applicants are only eligible to receive one (1) scholarship per year.
